FIONA MARRON Born 1960, is
from Clane, Co. Kildare. Studied at the National College of Art and
Design, Dublin 1979 - 1985 gaining a Diploma in Art and Design Education in 1983
and a BA Degree in Fine Art in 1984.
After a short stint as an art teacher in The Royal College of
Surgeons she moved to New York City with her then partner, now
husband, the well known flautist Brian Dunning. They moved to
the Pacific North West in 1985, settling in Portland Oregon.
Here Fiona established herself as a respected painted exhibiting
regularly. In 1996 Fiona, Brian and their son Gordon returned
to Ireland. They have two more boys now, Jack and Julian.
Fiona Marron continues to exhibit in Ireland and the U.S.
Her landscapes draw the attention of the viewer to a world of
delicate balance through colour and texture, capturing the
familiar through her sense of drama and exquisite perspective.
